Fire Door Installation, Inspection & Fire Safety Support
Under DBA Building Fire Safety, we provide fire door installation, inspection, and fire safety support, delivered by our competent in-house carpenters, all of whom have received specialist FireQual training. FireQual is a recognised governing body within the fire safety sector, providing accredited training to ensure fire doors are installed, inspected, and maintained in line with current standards and best practice.
Fire doors are a critical life-safety measure, designed to compartmentalise buildings, slow the spread of fire and smoke, and protect escape routes. Following the devastating Grenfell Tower fire, fire safety legislation and guidance has been significantly strengthened, placing clearer and more robust duties on building owners and Responsible Persons.
From 2 March 2025, Approved Document B (the official fire safety guidance to the Building Regulations) was updated with stronger requirements for fire door design, installation, inspection, and documentation, ensuring doors meet tested standards and are installed correctly.
